Parent to Parent is dedicated to family-centered care and providing support, information, resources, and leadership training to families. We coordinate individualized support by connecting families raising children with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and special health care needs to experienced Parent Mentors who “get it.”

No parent should ever feel alone. Ever.

The Parent to Parent Program matches you with an experienced parent or family member according to the criteria that matters most to you. Would you like to talk with someone who is navigating life as a single parent? Would you rather connect with someone whose child shares the same diagnosis, or has a similar hospital experience?

We work to make these introductions happen with trained and approved Parent Mentors who can provide one-on-one support as you navigate your child’s healthcare journey.

Parent Mentors are essential!

Mentors are raising children with disabilities &/or special health care needs.

Mentors are volunteers trained & supported by Parent to Parent TN.

Mentors provide support by offering a safe space for another person raising a child with a similar disability or special health care need to share & ask questions.

Mentors are not medical experts.

Mentors do not have all the answers.
